With various rail authorities like Network Rail and ARTC now insisting personnel need to demonstrate their competence before being permitted track access, a need exists to develop a competent body of assessors to make valid judgements of competence. This course addresses this need and is structured around the specific needs of rail authorities and contracting organisations.

The course has a blended-learning approach which consists of a combination of on-line learning, in-class learning activities and on-the-job practical assessment tasks. All work is done within the context of the client organisation.

This training addresses the Cert IV TAA Assessment Cluster competencies and is used by RTOs to assist in their provision of accredited training. As the course also addresses UK's NVQ A1 competencies, it is also suitable for IRSE and Network Rail assessor training.
